There are over 70 inscriptions and signatures in the book. Many on tipped in pages. They start with the author’s and the surgeon general who wrote the introduction for the book. This book served as an autograph book for the man who worked in the Medical Department for over 20 years and who left about 1948. There are at least six, possibly eight, signatures of the then surgeon general. There are also related ephemera and laid in signatures with the book. Front board stamped "Med. Dept. USA." Not in Nevins.
