THE THIRD CAV OPERATED PRIMARILY IN TENNESSEE AND MISSISSIPPI. AS PER USUAL, THE PORTRAITS AND ROSTERS IN THIS BOOK ARE OF THE UNIT'S WHITE OFFICERS.
