Campaigning With Grant.
NY: Century Company, 1897. First. Hard Cover. Book Near fine. A BEAUTIFULLY BOUND BOOK!! / None. Item #368
Porter was General Grant's aide-de-camp for two years when Grant was general in chief and conducting the Overland Campaign. Porter was at McLeans during the surrender ceremony and was very specific about those details. A thorough history on that part of the War, particularly the final days at Petersburg and Appomatox.
(My favorite binding of all Civil War books. The book should be displayed front board out instead of just the spine. A near fine copy)!!
