This is Number 14 in the Special Campaign series. The narrative was prepared for study by Royal Army officers while preparing for their competency exams. Very detailed and straight forward without rancor and "cover my tail" stories.

The narrative covers Second Manassas, Cedar Run and Sharpsburg (Antietam). Nevins - 43: “…a narrative of merit…”,

The required 7 maps all present in near fine condition.

Sheppard, the author, also wrote an excellent biography on Nathan Bedford Forrest. (Copy on this website).
