Perry, NY: Ladies’ Cemetery Association, 1870. First. Hard Bound. Rear hinge repaired, rest VG-. / None. Item #427

A rather morbid publisher, but the book has numerous lists of those who died in prisons, on the battle field and those wounded who died at home. The book contains not only a roster for the 24th, but also lists those from Perry who served in other units.

THIS HISTORY CONTAINS A BRIEF AND VERY RARE ACCOUNT OF AN ATTEMPT TO USE ROCKETS INSTEAD OF STANDARD ARTILLERY. TWO COMPANIES FORMED A BATTALION AND UNDERWENT TRAINING BY A BRITISH "ROCKET SCIENTIST." DIDN'T WORK OUT, HOWEVER, BUT NON-THE-LESS AN INTERESTING TALE.
