General Burnside fell out of favor after his fiasco at Fredericksburg. But somehow (political influence?) he stayed on to command the Ninth Corps. He left at least things for history - his sideburns and the name of the bridge across Antietam Creek.
Eight maps and eight illustrations all present. The plate and portraits are as nice as I have seen.
