A scarce account of a soldier who served in the Washington Rifles, 1st Georgia Infantry and also Martin's (Howell's) Battery. A very good account of a private soldier. He does not critique or address the actions of the high command but concentrates on what he did and what he saw. It contains several hand drawn illustrations surrounding his experiences.
