The 22nd served in the Western Theater. After Vicksburg, the Unit move to the East and the Valley Campaign where Booth was captured.
Author wrote this account from a diary he kept while a prisoner in Salisbury and Libby prisons. This account claims to be the first real expose’ on that Salisbury.
