The unit history for the Seventh Vermont Infantry. The unit served primarily in Louisiana but also other places in the Deep South like Vicksburg, Florida and Texas. The 7th was one of the units protecting Fort Pickens near Pensacola. Information on that part of the War is extremely scarce. I know as I once lived there. There are several pages of their Death Roll, likely most contributed to disease. There is a roster of the unit personnel also.
