History of the 14th Vermont Infantry which was a nine months regiment. They entered service in October 1862 and mustered out in July 1863. They were in time for service at Gettysburg. They served in the First Army Corps under General Reynolds. They were near the copse of trees on the third day with the rest of the Vermont Brigade and felt the brunt of the famous Confederate charge under General Pickett..
The book is printed in an unusually large font. The material had to have been fresh as the book was published in 1864.
