General James “Pete” Longstreet, Lee’s “Old War Horse”

Parsons, WVA: McClain Printing, 1979. First. Hard Cover. Near Fine. Great copy! / Near Fine. Item #529

Longstreet is often vilified because of his supposed criticism of Lee's actions at the Battle of Gettysburg. He was instantly attacked by brother Confederate generals following his narrative of the action at High Tide. It is hard to argue that Longstreet's plan wouldn't have yielded better results.
