The author wrote several books, in fact, he may have extracted portions of this book for publication under separate cover; i.e., The List of Battles. An unusual book that is a consolidation of several subjects. Of major importance is the list of surgeons (Union) as a search for their information is a very time consuming and frustrating task. The surgeons are listed by state and numerically by unit. There are several pages on USCT surgeons also.
This is a Union book and contains no Confederate information.
