Cullen in 1876. 16 pgs. (2) Biographical Sketch by Major General George W. Cullum of Captain William H. Swift. 24 pgs. (Swift was before the CW and after the Revolutionary). (3) Biographical Sketch of Brig-General Joseph G. Swift, Chief Engineer of the United States Army July 31, 1812 to November 12, 1818. Also by Cullum. 26 pgs. This consolidated book may have belonged to Cullum as his is the name running through all sections. He was a respected engineer and then became Halleck’s CofS. Later married Halleck’s widow, who had big bucks. Compiled an exhaustive USMA cadet book in 1890. Authored several broadfoot expensive books. Bound ¾ leather, VG. ****.
