A very rare and expensive Hood's Texas Brigade related book. The author was a member of the famed Fifth Texas Infantry, arguably in one of the best brigades on either side. "Texans always turn them" and "Lee to the rear!" are two famous incidents with this brigade. In all the major fights and fought well.

Chock full of personal anecdotes. Stevens was captured at Gettysburg and served the rest of the War as a POW.
