This book was likely rebound in ¾ leather very early. Also lightly trimmed. Nevins II-73. Has one large Richmond-Petersburg map tipped in at the front and three smaller foldouts in the text.
The book is divided by the major battles/campaigns conducted by the Army of Northern Virginia. The author states he began collecting all the data he could starting in 1861. This is supplemented by the ORs and his personal wartime observations. Almost completely a military operations narrative.
