Woolworth was a member of the 113th Illinois Infantry. The unit fought at Arkansas Post, Vicksburg, and Chickasaw Bluffs. There is an interesting post action report on Fort Pillow (included as separate ephemera) where officers reported the murder of 15 Black Union soldiers. They were all shot in the head at close range as evidenced by powder burns around the wounds. They also reported that General Forrest was not responsible as he had attempted to stop the shootings.

Exceptionally good for a wrappers of this age.
